Help Casa Marielle Franco in Brazil
We are running out of time to enable Casa Marielle Franco to respond to all the requests for help it receives, and to provide a safe home for those who need it most once again.

In Salvador, the capital of Brazil’s northeastern state of Bahia, there is a house where LGBTQIA+ people and women in vulnerable situations go to find shelter: Casa Marielle Franco. Since 2011, the space has become a refuge for those who need it most, but after the heavy rains at the beginning of the year, it is at risk.

The roof of the house has collapsed and needs urgent repair. Keeping everything going isn't cheap: between monthly bills, food, toiletries, and so many other expenses, the House doesn't have the resources to renovate the roof.

We are running out of time to enable Casa Marielle Franco to respond to all the requests for help it receives, and provide a safe home for those who need it most once again. We have just a few weeks left to raise US$5,000 and cover the costs of materials and labor for the new roof.
